The Contemporary Design Group is proud to announce the addition of their newest retailer member in Arizona.  Thingz Contemporary Living was acquired by Susie and Scott Wallace in 2004. Over the past 19 years, the couple have turned Thingz into a classic contemporary furniture store and expanded it from its original size.  Today, Thingz has 9,650 sq ft of retail space.  In addition, the couple has added two sister stores including Boulevard Urban Living (11,000 sq ft) and Fig & Birch Interiors (8,900 sq ft). All three stores have a different take on modern and contemporary design.

“They’re a different type of operation that I hope to learn from,” says Blake Frankovich, CDG Advisory Board Member and President of Sklar Furnishings of Boca Raton, FL. Susie and Scott hope to bring their analytical mindset and cross-industry experience to the CDG group and are looking forward to joining a professional network of like-minded industry entrepreneurs.

The Contemporary Design Group is a national association of independent home furnishings showrooms, specializing in modern and contemporary design.  Currently the buying/performance/networking group is 46 showrooms strong with 29 retail members in 26 states.
