The Contemporary Design Group is proud to announce the addition of their newest retailer member in Iowa.  Dwell Home Furnishings has been in business since 1997 and has a 14,000 sq. ft. showroom. 

The company began in 1997 as a home furnishings franchise called Expressions Custom Home Furniture, owned by Cheri Hochstetler.  In 2006 Cheri and her partners Jeff Draker and John O’Meara brought the “Dwell Concept” to life. These days, Dwell Home Furnishings is offering private appointments to shop in-stock and custom furnishings as well as explore design services.  Cheri says that she hopes to bring her retail and interior design expertise to CDG as well as her experience of growing very small furniture business into a profitable, large-scale one.

The Contemporary Design Group is a national association of independent home furnishings showrooms, specializing in modern and contemporary design.  Currently the buying/performance/networking group is 43 showrooms strong with 28 retail members in 23 states.
