Company History

Founded 26 years ago by Carl and Barbara Propes when they brought five containers of “knock-down” Scandinavian furniture to Alaska and sold it in a former sports arena. See website for more details.

Community Service

Scan Home and Scan Office Interiors donate large amounts of furniture to select non-profit organizations each year. Carl Propes is also active in the Blood Bank of Alaska, Junior Achievement of Alaska, the board of directors of Girdwood 2020, and he services on the Municipality of Anchorage’s Parks and Recreation Commission.
